Righto folks - cards on table. I have a trade in lined up of £4000 on the car, so anything over and above is bonus money. So without being silly about it, make me an offer and lets see this beauty go to a deserving cause.

Mrs Alfa that would be great - I am on FB but my profile is not public. Thanks for your help

Tried to PM you regarding your wanting a GT but your inbox appears to be full. I am selling mine - have posted ad but no pics yet. Would you be interested?

Selling my cherished GT. Car is 2006 JTDm with Angel Remap, having covered to date 67200 miles though this will go up slightly as the car is still in daily use. Car is in Stromboli Grey with black leather interior. Service history is full and comprehensive with receipts and old MOT's to back up and verify mileage. I am the third owner of the car. Cam belt and water pump done in November 2010 at 48K as were clutch and DMF, upper wishbones done last year, as were drop links and more recently the steering rack too. 17" Tyres are all well above the legal minimum.
Bad points are small parking dings along the sides (all alfas seem to be prone to this alas) and a touch of bumper rash which I will treat with ChipEx (which I will also give to whoever buys it). Feel free to check up on the provenance of the car with my favoured indy CM Garage. Pics can be supplied on request as can't get them on here. £4600 ono. Can be contacted either via here or on mobile 07806 593784

PS - Cherished plate wiating to be transferred off at the moment so won't be available until that process is complete.

Pity but thanks for getting in touch. Will get part number and add to ad

Didn't know where to post this so please correct if necessary:-
Bought in error (duplicate purchase) Jaguar S type steering rack. I know this is an Alfa Forum, however just in case anyone knows of somebody needing one please put them in touch. Only £30 inc postage. Still to take pics but can do easily.

Smaky cm garage in east Kilbride had a 164 fermenting in his yard. Worth calling then on 01355 239974 as can't tell you if it is still there or what model it was.

Well, I'll try to be polite. But front on looks like.........well......lady bits . The scudetto could easily pass for a vajazzle.........

teledials are back on. looks ace. will post pics later

Some clown mixed the 2 in my last 156 JTS with fairly horrible consequences a year later. Last time I ever use a national chain for maintenance for anything including a simple coolant change as the end cost to me was about £1000

Some lovely cars, there.Did you go on the rally yourself, Stesco?
No alas I didn't. Would be a lovely thing to do when the wee Sprint is eventually done, but imagine it would be eye wateringly expensive to do so . . . .
Some lovely old cars there though
-
Meant to post these up last week but forgot . . . . .Sorry.
Link to Flikr for photos taken at the Monte Carlo Rally departure, Clydebank, January 29th 2012. Some nice old cars on display. Pardon the amateur photos but enjoy none the less.

Very Beemeresque and rancid.Say wotcha think why dontcha . . . . .
What's the point in beating round the bush... the roses still smell of shit.
The roses you buy must be stuck up someones arse instead of a vase . . . . . .
Have a great Christmas and new year and keep up the good work.

Wider wheels?Different tyre size giving more compression and more road conatact?
Nope tyres were swapped off the teles on to these wheels and in identical positions also. Pressures are between 35-37 psi
-
Can someone explain the physics?? I know there is a difference in unsprung weight but can a few KG so low down on the car make such a vast difference to the way the car drives??
-
Well much to my - and many on heres - annoyance I think they are going to stay ON. As I said before these wheels are lighter than the Teledials and the difference in the cars behaviour is vast. It can't just be imagination as on the roads I drive every day there is a quickness of response I havent ever noticed before. And it doesn't seem to crash into bumps quite as badly either. Please tell me I am not imagining this someone . . . .

I suspect the Teledials will go back on when I eventually refurb them. However these will be kept for when I eventually sell the car and the Teledials will get sold separately . . . . .
Going to get the teles blasted and either re-paint or polish to an aluminium shine like the flat surfaces are on these wheels I just fitted.
However - I did notice the Teles markedly heavier to carry and strangely the car now feels more nimble and less lead booted on the road. Or I could be havering . . . . .
Pic with Teles attached.
-
Now fitted. Can't make my mind up though whther I like or not. Just so different tothe Teles. Despite both being 17" these just look smaller somehow . . . . . Have lost centrecaps though so will need to get replacements
-
Going to put these on my GT while I refurb my teledials (17"). Got these they were a bit knackered, so have spruced them up somewhat. Don't know what they'll look like on the car but I can't help feeling I'm gonna like them and they'll stay on .
Sacrilege I know as Alfas generally look best with Alfa wheels. Your opinions sought and appreciated. Pardon the poor mobile phone pic too. I have since wet n'dried them a bit more and re-lacquered them and TBH look the dogs
For the record, they came off a GTV and are ET35 so fit just dandy. Also toying with getting new rubber on the Teles once I have dorted them and going up to 225/45 17" and my query is while there is reference to tyre pressures in the manual for these tyres, no variants are actually shown as having them fitted. Anybody running this size and what are the results? Alternatively what are the thoughts with regard to perhaps putting on 205/50 17's to give a bit more sidewall to cushion out our shitty roads??

Obviously used, but loads and loads left so good for ages yet. Also including a can of Holts VR651 spray and an original Alfa touch up stick. Open to offers for the this as genuinely don't know what it's worth but think around the £30 mark is not unreasonable.
