  1. went for a short run in Bella tonight and heard water sloshing behind the dash!

I have guessed its in the scuttle panel below the windscreen, so my questions are-

    a) how easy is it to remove the plastics below the windscreen? any special tools or things to be careful of?

    B) where are the drain holes and what's the best tool to clear them with. I don't have a compressor so air isn't an option. I don't want to scratch the paint in the channels which will inevitably rust and cause problems later on.

    any help lads and lasses?

    thanks MB

  2. These came off some 156 steel wheels I purchased for Bella Blue my GT which I have now fitted the appropriate size winter tyres to.

3x Continental Premium Contact, all with approx 8mm tread

1x Pirelli P6000 with approx 5mm tread - this tyre has had a puncture repair almost in the middle.

All 4 tyres (the height difference it the uneven patio slabs... another job for next summer...)

  3. I think the cold is going to kill my battery, after being stood for 3 days the engine turns over and slows down then when she started there was unburn diesel from the exhaust.

I do have a warning light for the glowplugs so have to flash the plugs twice so this is also eating into the battery.

Is there anything I should be wary of when replacing the battery?

  4. I was running some 17" multispoke alloys on Bella, but I managed to get some 15" steelies off a 156 for winter. They are currently wearing 185/65/15 tyres, but the owners book details the size to be 195/60/15 what if any are the legal implications of this? Should I purchase the 195 series winter tyre?

  5. each instance is judged on its own merits and the mood im in, however ANY car (ESPECIALLY 4x4s :rant: ) taking kids to school gets blocked, I will intentionally block them in as they are one of the biggest reasons why this city is clogged up in the morning. When the schools are off its a 25 min run to work, when the schools are open its a 45 min run minimum :rant::rant::rant::rant::rant::rant::rant::coat:

  6. it started on sunday :( went to the car started it drove 20 fast dual carriageway miles, parked up for 20 mins, came back turned the key, glow plug warning flashed and beeped. So I turned her off before trying to start her. Turned her back on again no warning, no beep all fine.

Went to her this morning, no warning and no beeping, but tonight ofter work, warning flashed up again. So I think Im in for new glow plugs.

    what do you guys recon?

  7. I looked at a few Mitos before I got the GT, and tbh yes they loked nice (all the ones I looked at were red too) but the test drive didnt 'do it' for me, they seemed a bit... non alfa. I like the guilietta though, but it was too new for the money I had to spend. I like the idea of a Brera or a 159 but I need good fuel economy (I get 50mpg from bella blue 1.9jtd) and I think as great as they look they are a bit heavy.

sorry thats all a bit off topic, so to recap, Mito nice but not 'alfa' enough, Guiletta yes please.
