I have the old steelies from my GT with winter tyres on, will the wheels fit HIDs Giulietta?
-
Its a maser not an alfa
so by that logic is an Alfa not a fiat?
-
The latest incarnation of the disco volante, I think that the workover has really taken the classic styling and not overdone it, it really is a Bella!
But a more realistic car that I could own would be a 33p4, I had one and was really gutted when it's new owner drove it away!
-
how do Alice
-
No
The GTA is heavy on fuel and I've tried leaving it as a weekend car or an occasional car but it's too fun to drive
I also pay fuel for the GTV so I would say I would be actually saving fuel. I pay 2 lots of car tax close to £500 a year, so I should be saving money on that also. I pay 2 insurances so I will be saving money on that too.
Ive run the figures it makes sense she wanted a 4x4 I wanted something with power and acceleration that could match the GTA , the Porsche is the answer.
And I'm not getting any older and you only get one shot at life so I'm going to live it
as you say you only get one shot, enjoy it!

can you imagine owning that? it would cost the same for a year to run it, tax, insurance and lets not forget FUEL!
are you American?

Bit harsh what about Audi Quattro and the 159 Q4?
I will have no intention of using it off road but it will help out in the snow when I can't use my van for work. The GTA and GTV were fuckin hopeless in the snow and living at the top of a hill didn't help much either. Personal choice at the end of the day and I am classed as a tosser, chav or anything other then so be
(Not offended in anyway by any comments by the way knew most where coming)
I think you have taken this comment out of context, you in your op were referring to a 'chelsea tractor' which is not what you would call either the quattro or the 159. A chelsea tractor is a slang term for
"Any expensive 4x4 that is driven in an urban environment as a status symbol (typically for the school run) and will never be driven off-road.
Look, that Chelsea Tractor nearly flattened that kid!"
http://www.urbandict...Chelsea Tractor
What about a Fiat Panda 4x4? fun to drive, good in the snow and economical. Unfortunately or in the last case fortunately, though it doesen't even make a reading on the 'egometer', 'status-symbol'o'meter' or 'kiddykiller'o'meter.

absolute waste of road room. Up here in Aberdeen 4x4s are 'kin everywhere and are only purchased for one purpose, status symbols and only used for one purpose, taking the kiddiwinks to school.
we find that due to the wide track they are able to straddle sleeping policemen so the theory of them being safer if lost as mummy and daddy drive far too fast down small residential streets, ok the kids in the 'car' are safe but the kids walking to school dont stand a chance against a 2 ton truck going way too fast with a bumper height conveniently the same as 5-8 year olds, ie the age where judging the speed on an oncoming tank has not been learned yet.
I could rant for ages, but I will save that for when someone comes along and extols the virtues of driving a 2 ton 4x4 in a town!!

so is it a sales brochure?

I've seen the press pics, but this somehow makes it real.
Best start saving it bootiful!

DAMN YOU

twin exhausts = WIN :Big Grin:
its an ex-demo so was spec'd with them from the factory so as far as the insurance is concerned its not a mod
-
We saw Bella on t'interweb and we were unsure until we saw it in the metal, we wanted red but there were slim pickings. We found that the darker colours such as the greys hide many of the curves that really are prevalent on the shapely Giulietta.

We had the same experience when HID was looking for a new car, we looked st the new A class and wondered why it was £24k

I think its time we had a Scottish meeting, so I propose a meeting, suggestions please c.Aberdeen

floating about
The sad news is the GT has gone , however the great news is HID has got herself a Giulietta! however back to the bad news, I have a focus , so Im now on the hunt for an Alfa to replace the focus!
-
Hi Ben, welcome.
Great car the GT, mine went a month ago and still miss looking out the window every morning to see her standing there
Still the G hid has purchased means there is still an Alfa in the house...
-
yup Im up in Aberdeen.
I really should spend more time here... now bookmarked!!

the answer was right, thanks smaky, the only difference was that I had to stick my finger in it to clear the leaves and other shite from it, it was not pleasant. Anyhoo I had a look and to get the plastic off the passenger side is 1/2 dozen torx screws and I won't need the remove the wiper arms so that's Saturdays job, having a good clear out.
thanks for the assistance.
right so on to the pressing matter of an Alfa related question you can't answer....
PS gerbils are quite nice if baked slowly...

welcome Trev
I would think at that mileage it should have had a couple of cambelt and waterpump changes! make sure it has just had one or you will be needing to get it done!!
