  1. What you can do is once the ball joint is out of the upright is push down the old arm and swing the shock forwards allowing the arm to come right up to the neutral position, tie the shock forwards if it helps,

     

    When rebuilding, just slide in the new arm, fit the 4 bolts into the bushes loosely and connect up the lower ball joint then reconnect the upper arm ball joint, from there reverse the guide.

     

     

    I will get a guide together with pictures the next arm I do.

     

     

    helpful. I alwys get stuck getting the 4 bolts back in. Lots of swear words are usually muttered! :facepalm:

    If you do it in wrap you can't really lose. just peel it back off if you don't like it.

     

    I agree, wrap it, if it doesn't look right then unwrap it, but the car looks really good as is

    BTW Ever thought about putting spaceers on the wheels to bring them further out? Might look :cool: with the flared arches

    Yeah well my other 156 has a complete dash full of 3m stuff. There is a thread on AO somewhere in general alfa discussion. Most people like it. I'll be doing the wrap at somepoint this week so will post pics. As to the spacers yes the GTA desperately needs them IMO especially on the back where they are tucked right in and look poo :grump:
