  1. After doing a search on another forum I have come up blank. When the wiper reaches the top of it's stroke and the wiper begins to return the drivers one makes a huge crack noise on the screen. It only seems to happen when the wipers are really on too fast. On the JTD I never run the wipers very fast unless it is raining very hard and so it doesn't do it but if the are run fast in lighter conditions they will make the cracking noise. The GTA has auto wipers and so does it's own speed and runs far to fast IMO but this means that it continually makes this cracking noise at the top of the wiper stroke. Can this be solved with new wipers or adjustment of anything as in the end for most of my hour journey I just flipped the wiper stalk when I needed it which became oh so tiresome and very annoying

  2. My GTA has been missing the little grill in the side skirt since I bought. I thought I was going to have to buy a new one until last night while I was out with a friend with another GTA. He said they often pop off and fall inside the hole. His mrs poked a torch in a hey presto. There it was rattling around inside. Just got to re-attach it now but as it's not gone missing yet a few more days until the weekend won't matter :D

    Bonus

  3. Well, if they think I'm paying to watch F1, they're sadly mistaken. :finger:

Er tony. You already do. It's called a TV licence :P

But on a serious note yes this is a massive faux pah. Give it a year and it will be back hopefully once they realise that no one is watching again. Either that or bernie will start planning his randome sprinklers on the track hing again!

  4. I know what you mean mate. It's just with that transmission grumble and occassional twang and the fact that I will be using it on track I just don't want to smash it while using it hard as I'm sure a new box wouldn't be that cheap. Still nice to hear a different opinion for once  I want to get the Q2 anyway as people say it is well worth it for the car but at least I'm a little less worried about it trying to eject before it gets done.

One point I did notice about the grumble/ slight messing noise is that it is only really noticeable it 2,4,6 rather than 1,3,5.

  5. Fantastic, dodgy earth?

It has come back :grump: It seems to be the connector in the side of the amp. Went away for a couple of days but now it's back.Last time I just wiggled the connector so I know it is that. I will pull apart and clean with some electrical cleaner.

One question about the volume still. I haven't had a standard head unit in my other 156 for ages so I can't rememeber what is considered loud or not. In the GTA I have the volume at 50+ to hear it while driving which seems very high . What is considered a normal volume setting? You can't hear anything when volume is below 10.

  6. So after having the GTA for a week now and looking over variuos bits an pieces I am beginning to get nervous about the diff.:cry2: I've heard a few funny noises coming from the car. sometimes while accelerating, sometime when crusing. Seems to sound like either a metalic twang or like the wheels have kicked somthing really hard into the plastic body kit. Admittedly the front rolbar bushes are goosed and it's having them poly bushed but could it just be this instead or am i right to worry at 108k :s
