the 2.4 is supposed to even sound good for a diesel, not sure on the workings of them but i so go check it out and see what you think. i know a lot of people look for the 2.4 more than the 1.9 so there must be a reason why

If go on the condition of the car & history tbh. Obviously if its had a few owners in a short space of time there might be something up with it so be more careful with your checks etc. As smiffy said, dont worry about the questions, thats what forums are for

the few 159's ive seen have got scratches from peoples keyrings on the facia part of the dash but thats easily sorted, you can either take them out and spray them or get them wrapped easily enough, seen a few people do it themselves might be worth phoning a couple of alfa specialists to get a rough idea of cost for the cambelt, i wouldn't let the seller get it done or they might either say its been done when it hasn't (unlikely but you never know) or just do the bare minimum which is no good either good luck with it, hope its as good as it looks
