  1. I have a ph2 V6 GTV in vella blue with black leather interior for sale, taxed and tested until Feb 13, 94k.

    The car was a cat D in 2004, front and rear impact, needed bumpers, some lights and a bonnet paint, classed as uneconomic repair, i have just treated all the underside surface corrosion and painted (after attacking with drill brushes) the rear suspension, 4 great tread tyres and working aircon, private plate, clouding on the roof.

    Still i think a bargain for 850....

  2. Well i'll tell ya, i got a £90 fine instead, which Jules then negotiated with her mate at the fines office down to £45...............they would do her a favour and put it through as a 'Fault'............sorted, she then gets a phone call off a policeman saying "sorry Jules we only just saw this, money has been refunded"..... :halo1:

  3. A couple of months ago a 'mate' of mine was driving his Alfa 155 with knowingly no MOT, he got pulled by a policeman in a dog van (the shame)....now the given choice was (very decent cop) £60 no points or as its Saturday if there is an MOT on the car by Monday i will forget it..........due to some exhaust issues an MOT was not forthcoming, guess the result............... :facepalm:

  4. What a pain in the ass.... :censored:

    I bought back my first Alfa from an AO member i sold it to, drove home perfectly, i fitted a cd player and removed the resonator and popped in a straight carbon pipe i have, say to Jules we will go to Wales and get fish and chips, jump in, engine spins and the code light stays on;

    So begins the process of elimination, all fuses and relevant relays checked, all ok, check and cleaned all the earths in the engine bay (had a dry earth problem before) still no start;

    Remove the cowlings from the steering column, check the antenna and wiring, jiggle the steering, nothing, tried all the keys both ways, including master key, tried disconnecting the battery, nothing;

    Starting to worry now, 'its the ecu or immobiliser/key reprogram'

    Just about to strip out all the relays and clean every terminal then i thought;

    I had to remove the trim panel to settle the wiring when i pushed in the cd player, removed it again, jiggled the nest of wiring behind the cd player;

    BINGO..............light goes out and she starts, now if only i had though of that before dismantling the steering and dashboard...... :nonono:
