Why spend money on a shite set of wheels when you would be better getting the originals refurbed?
-
Tidy. Cheers Alex
-
Will do. Its only started making the noise recently if that makes any difference?
If its that, would that be a case of just re-timing it or a new balance shaft?
-
Varies. It can go weeks without being used but i have done 26k in 2.5 years
Or if you mean its had it and needs engine surgery then no its not a daily user

CF1 2.0 TS 16v in a 145 Cloverleaf
Engine is well maintained, regular oil checks/top ups, new plugs every year. Equipped with half decent panel filter, Alfatune exhaust system and Alfatune remap running 170bhp
When the engine has been warmed up, it pulls very strongly but when slowing down or when the revs are falling from mid range to tickover, it makes a strange rattly/ticky/grinding noise around the 2500-2000rpm mark. Doesn't do it under power or holding the revs steady, only when the revs are falling. It is due a full belt change soon but this noise sounds like its coming from the passenger side, or certainly to the left of the drivers side, could be a central noise.
It is definitely engine related, nothing to do with gearbox (that i know of) as it does it when either driving along, in any gear, or when stood still.
Any thoughts guys? If it needs a new clutch and/or flywheel, sod it. Its getting ripped out and replaced with a 20v turbo from a Fiat Coupe!

Looks good
I'd do something similar on the Gtv but it came out the factory already like that
-
Fair point really

No another tastefull way of making the GT look a bit better.
Can of petrol and a match?
-
Nice motor
I'd stick it up at £7k, mileage, wheels and map might sway a few people

Viperceptor

Is it a normal GT or is it a Blackline/Cloverleaf/other special edition?
I'd say a solid £6k, maybe £6.5k. Judging by whats on the trader anyway

GM one, still not a bad engine though. Not as characterful as the Busso but its a decent lump
Big heavy car, the Brera. Quite thirsty too

The red F355 that was out on track won sound of the day for me

That was my initial thought, it was a bastard to refit properly so i took it off again, still much the same although it does behave itself every now and then

I have a slightly related issue. Gtv 3.0 P2, will not stay locked.
Press the alarm fob, it locks and immediately unlocks again. Lock it with the key and the same happens. However, lock it with the key and hold it in the lock position, it stays locked. Albeit randomly, sometimes it stays locked until unlocked, sometimes it unlocks itself after time, again randomly. It also sometimes doesnt close, you shut the door and it bounces open
I have recently had the door panel off to change the leather panel and fitted a new release cable if thats any use?
