    Having had a replacement key cut for my old Gtv TS and refitting the ignition barrel in the column (they do only go in one way dont they?) Put a fully charged battery on the car and it started up no problems. Trouble is, the key was in the off position! Even taking the key out made no difference, engine still runs.

     

    It seems the ignition is constantly latched on no matter where the key is in the barrel, or not in the barrel as the case seems! :LOL:

     

    So then, ignition and key experts, any ideas as to where i have gone wrong or whats up in the ignition side of things?

    Too many other events are called Monkeyfest so to avoid confusion/legalities it is now named Higham after the village that hosts it :thumbs:

     

    Whats in a name though? My car could be called the Lada Spunkstain, it would still be awesome :D

     

    Whatever the festival is called, it will still be a top weekend

    I was all for selling both the GTVs and getting something different and mental, that is a seperate thread as to what the list comprised of! :LOL:

     

    Anyway, partly because i dont think i could bear to part with the V6 and it doesnt need as much coin throwing at it as i had thought, im going to give it a bit of a makeover and some new paint :thumbs:

     

    Hopefully, expect a monster GTV V6 at the shows next summer :D
