There's a hidden story there ...
-
I used to live in Wiltshire - there are a lot of sheep there. You must have been in the deep south then.
Arrrr
-
I didn't think the C1 had been out that long!
At least you found Alfas ...

That is all.
-
the thought of spending the equivalent of a small house on a car????
-
C1? How long have you been driving????
-
I'll start .....
My Dad had a Maxi 1750 so I started driving in that. He always maintained that if you could drive that you could drive anything ... which is true, cos it was shit, really.
He also had a Transit minibus which I drove occasionally as a learner, and also when we went on holiday with our caravan, I used to drive the Maxi towing the caravan on my L plates ....
At some point during my learning process we acquired a Morris Minor 1000 saloon for my mum, I helped my dad bring it back to life (it had been in a old lady's garage for years after her husband died and she didn't drive), and finally passed my test in it.
of course times have changed and you have to take a separate towing test now ... luckily being ancient, I don't need to, which is handy when I need to tow the horse trailer ...
Your turn ....
-
Mind you, he does live in Wiltshire and they have a lot of sheep in NZ so it would be similar ...
-
I can see that could be a good advantage though
Napier was nice, but having travelled all around for about 3 weeks, we were glad to come home ...
-
Hey, Shelley, nice to see you here too!
-
Welcome to here, PigfarmerDon't worry, we have a few Alfa-less members just be aware we might be mean about your current car... just kidding
Come and get stuck in
She's not wrong ..... Especially when they pick a car to replace their Alfa with that is even more unreliable ....
-
I've not been to Hastings, but we stayed in Napier for 4 days. Did a tour of both islands about 5/6 years ago.
Some very scenic areas.
-
Neither do we ...
I've got friends in Napier - not that far from you! I think my friend works for the St John Ambulance Emergency Service in Hastings though.
-
Yes of course, his is the same, isn't it.
-
Isn't that what Jillyflower has? Or Roger?
-
Sarky sparky ....
Just haven't checked the events thread lately (not really been in the right frame of mind!)
-
Oh I've just seen this (note to self must check events thread - maybe need to make this more prominent??)
could have gone but as it's cancelled will have to console myself with fitting the bathroom floor ....
-
Awwwww - gotta love kids! Welcome to AD - friendly nutcases, mainly!
-
Nice little car for a runaround.
-
Is it Alfa or Afla?
-
It's supercar week.I think I'm right in saying that this square in Milan is where the fireworks went off at the centenary?
-
I've got a Terrano - love it to bits. Never let me down yet, only thing that ever needs replacing is the suspension links. Had it from new as an import.
OK, it's not an Alfa, if I want to go throw things around corners, I take the Spider ... or the GTA ... but if I'm going to the tip, or towing a horse trailer, can't beat it! Plus even though it's a 3.5 tonne, 3.0L diesel, still get 30mpg out of it ....
What car did you learn to drive in?

My kids both learned in Fiestas. Put them off Fords for life!
