OK folks well following on from other discussions, it seems that the Bedford River Festival is on the weekend of 19th/20th July.
This is a two day music/food/river/boat/carnival all sorts of stuff going on - held every two years.
Anyone interested? Details are here
-
Second one is the same weekend as Sharnbrook Italian Car and Bike day so you could combine the two.
I'm away, as I said, that weekend. Could do the Dragstalgia weekend, or the Bedford Italian Festival which I will put up as a separate event.

Welcome to AD! Look forward to meeting you (and the wife/dog) when we have a meet sometime!

Welcome to AD, Vic. We're a mad bunch but we're friendly, mostly.
-
Yes, I am!
And if you're going to chat, go to the Alfa Arms Pub ... http://www.alfadriver.com/forum/index.php/topic/1522-alfa-arms-pub/

Well we'd need more takers than last time. And something to do on the Sunday. Or the Saturday.

You don't look it
Will that work ?
This is true. That's because I don't do camping!
If only someone had a campervan Mrs A
Yeah, if only, eh?
-
I'm older than all of you lot!
-
Ben will be home. And Chloe, probably.
-
Bad news, I'm afraid. I'll be away that weekend.

I'll vouch for the fact that Alfa Drivers are a friendly bunch - none of the pomposity you get with other car makes!
Go along to the meet, Starbright, you'll have a giggle!

Welcome to AD, Starbright!
Look forward to seeing the photos of your baby!

Haha!

Haha!

Nah, no offence taken. But you don't normally get Alfa bashing on an Alfa forum!
And comparing an Alfa to a german car, even favourably?
-
If that's the only problems you have, no problem!
And wash your mouth out with the German comment! Oh, and did you know who does the electrics on Alfas? Yep, Bosch ...

That would explain it!

Cruise control all fitted and tested
Somewhere along the line with all my fumbling I've managed to disconnect the speedo cable, which is great for my limited mileage insurance but not so great for knowing how fast I'm going.
Tomorrow I will jack the front end up and sort it out, with both wheels off the ground I can test it without having to drive anywhere.
Had a problem with the heater control, it had two settings bloody hot and bloody hot , further investigation revealed a Nintendo DS game stuck in the heater control stopping it sliding across to the cold setting, I like simple fixes.
Hehe! Love that!

Well it looks extra good next to the tranny!
-
For goodness sake don't confuse the two when driving! The cornering you will get on the Alfa is FAR superior to the transit ... Just sayin' ...
Or the braking, come to think of it! I learned to drive in a Tranny so I know!

Looks a cracker!

Depends what you have got on it!

I hated that film. What a waste of good cars!
How did you get on with the council? Any joy?
