Sidelights on when stereo on .....

OK guys, a strange one this afternoon.

Just been given a Sony cd/radio.

Had to buy a wiring loom from ebay to fit it to the ISO connections and all seemed fine.

Until I turned the engine on and all the side lights came on as well, including the rev counter "lights on" light.

Any idea's how to cure this, or am I stuck with putting the old stereo back in?
