  1. She is indeed! Only one lot of autoglym super resin polish on as it was getting dark. Next time some more polishing and the gloss protector. Also been recommended the dodo juice wax in blue velvet.
  2. Also spent a productive afternoon cleaning her: She's got a new tax disc holder on now, not that crappy one. The side repeaters were not playing today, so next time. Also now got branded tyre valve caps on. The 'youth' have told me as they were walking past my car looks 'boss' and 'sick', but I've been told that's a good thing...
  3. £37 - brand new. Worth it though, she looks so much better now! Yep, probably explained the fun I had reapplying the clip after... >_<
  4. Well, this was on my to-do list, so I decided to tackle it... I'd been warned that it was going to be fun. First stage was to get off the boot trim... I have no trim remover - I sacrificed a fork for the greater good. So, firstly, I had to carefully remove the clips and spring. Fairly easy.... So, then it was a case of putting in the new badge... making sure the outer spring is in the right place and then reattaching the internal clips. This was not so easy. There may have been cursing. But after a bit: And outside: Yay!
  5. See, with something as gorgeous as an Alfa, you don't really need to put stuff on it. I'll take my Pininforina badge over that sun any day!
  6. Well, I couldn't possibly agree with that...
  7. She is a beautiful car - sounded absolutely awesome. You should at least go and see her! Have a chat and see what they can do.
  8. He's not wrong though I do like a big engine! Tomorrow the fun begins on Gemi - boot badge and side repeaters changed and then a through clean - I'll post up some pics when she's done.
  9. Oh, she is a beauty, I had a look over it for him and sent him all the pictures. Partial service history but what there is is Autolusso. If I'd not already got Gemi, I'd be getting that one, even if the larger engine would make my commute even more expensive!
  10. I know, but I think he maybe tempted to go back the more he sees my GTV - I know he was looking at the 3 ltr version as they had one for sale at Simply Alfas. I've told him to get back on here too, hopefully he'll see the error of his ways!
  11. Yes, his Celica is gorgeous, but I've been winding him up about it not being an Alfa! I work with him too, so he gets to see Gemi and regret he's not got an Alfa on a regular basis.
  12. Oh, I was expecting that anyway, going from a 1.6 ltr to 2. He's not at the moment as far as I know - but he's currently driving a Celica,
  13. I knew they'd be addictive, I was already bad enough driving for any reason in my old cars, but I've done almost 1000 miles in Gemi since I got he! As it's sunny today instead of raining she's getting cleaned and I will take some nicer pictures! My friend is Rob, he's from Warwick? He mentioned this forum to me.
  14. I'll definitely look into it for February as it's obviously a bit late now! Gemi did really well on her service, she's in lovely condition and now she's in tip top condition I'm using every excuse I can to drive her!
  15. Ha! Thanks! The avatar is me when I'm attempting to be girly. It has been known to happen. Glad to hear that Simply Alfas are a good place - picking her up tomorrow and then it's onto the other bits that need doing!
  16. Couple of not clean pics of Gemini ( Gemi for short )
  17. Taken her to Simply Alfas on a friend's recommemdation - he had owned Alfa's for about 6 years and always uses them. Got the 147 diesel courtesy car for a few days.
  18. Hey! I'm based in Walsall at the moment. Taking my baby in for her first service tomorrow, all important cam belt/water pump change. Then on to the other small repairs I can do myself - boot badge replaced, changing the side repeaters to clear. I'll shine her up then post some better pics!
