  1. Thanks hon - I'm SO chuffed. Who'd have thought that a car can make people so happy?
  2. Cheers dude! Isn't she just? I had a "I can't do it" 10 minutes when I was looking at her, but then I saw other MX5's on the way home and I was like "I so made the right decision". Was a bit odd seeing my 'old' next to the new on the motorway coming home - I was driving along in the Astra behind and she looked just GORGEOUS on the road.
  3. Well she's mine...and on my drive :-D will post up a piccy later. I'm very VERY happy!!!!
  4. Boys and girls, I'm test driving a GTV tomorrow: http://www.stgeorge.co.uk/index.cfm?fus ... carid=1301 There was a guy going to look at it today, but as I made the first enquiry, the dealer called me and said "if you're serious, we need a deposit and we'll reseve it for you". If I don't like it, we get it back. I must admit, that was very nice of him to do so, other dealers I've dealt with in the past don't do that, so a big thanks are in order. So, I'm going tomorrow, (thanks to dad coughing up the cash due to me purposfully not having my credit card in my purse) in my way too complicated hire car with lots of buttons Astra 1.9 CDTi (22 miles on the clock when delivered). Wish me luck. I'm SO excited. If I buy this, I'll officially own my very first alfa and I'll no longer be the tag along in a jap car (which got scrapped today - gutted).
  5. can't afford a V6 and the £80 tanks of fuel. Nor the £800 insurance bill. *sulk* Gaz has put me off them anyway which is probably not a bad thing! There is HateBreed GTV - but I think he ought to keep it.
  6. Bloody hell............. http://www.stgeorge.co.uk/index.cfm?fus ... carid=1302
  7. Well boys and girls, the come back from the insurers is a CAT B write off, and they're offering me £3,600 compensation. And I'm going to test drive this on saturday: http://www.stgeorge.co.uk/index.cfm?fus ... carid=1301
  8. I've asked them if it will have any impact on my insurance or not and they said no, but thanks for the tip I'm alright thanks Andrea - I was very shocked and had a bit of whiplash but I'm over it now. I just cried lots cuz I LOVE that car
  9. Well, the Mx5 was written off on Friday going up the M6 :-( waiting for her to be inspected but she's a write off I think :-( The guy who went into me has taken full responsibility for the rear and front damage as the guy I went into drove off. So I should get full pay out which means breaking the MX5 and selling bits...and...buying a new car................................ Alfa time!!!!!!
  10. I was only looking at 3.5 sport yesterday, in fact the limited edition ones - they're seriously nice. Thankfully I ran out of the showroom quickly enough so I couldn't say "can I have a test drive" - I think the salesman was rather disappointed. Have you joined to OC? They're quite an active club in the grand scheme of things and organise runs etc. I missed the Silverstone annual do though, despite free tickets!
  11. No I don't want a 500 - REALLY uncomfortable. I just want the £15k Spider instead. I need to get the MX5 through the MOT yet.

  13. I'm hoping to test drive one a week tomorrow up in Manches-star so fingers crossed. The insurance quote for an Essesse is over half the price of a GTV (that a 2010 plate special edition Silverstone one too) and the road tax is £145 a year...I pay £250 for my MX5. *drool*
  14. Welcome! I don't even own an Alfa, I just wish I did and everyone has been really welcoming and are real sports :-)
  15. I can't afford to run a GTV, my salary can't support the petrol bill which is depressing. At least in 5 weeks I don't need to tell insurance companies of my speeding points anymore! Hurrah!
  16. Right boys and girls Honest opinions please. Since Mitcar, and since I can't afford a GTV I *maybe* fell in love with a 500 Arbarth. And I want one. Not that I've been looking, but this one is rather nice... http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/3194305.htm £12,000 is a lot of cash. So my question is, is it worth it? What's everyone's views? Any idea on insurance? Also I no Longer have to declare my 6 points on my licence after 6th oct. Best! Kristie
  17. I'm and Silverstone with Ann watching the Le Mans cars and drinking beer.
  18. Make sure you guys tell Perry - if you don't, I will :-p And I second Anj's thanks to Dave and Ann for putting us up for the night and taking us for a curry, it was seriously scrummy. Such a gorgeous house to, even if the cows scared me.
  19. I don't even know where the rehearsal rooms are! :-o which car will you be in?!
  20. I'll be there :-) meeting my mate for beers at some point so if anyone is going and want a break from loud bandage feel free to follow me to pubness :-)

Hello Mrs Alfa :-) Are you the lady who was looking at 500's or am I thinking of someone else? :-)

    Howdy

I'm not scary, although when I have my 'concentration' face on when I'm eating when hungry people tend to shuffle away from me. I get a determined look in my eye apparently! I do have freinds but none of them are called 'Deep Throat' or anything like that - think you're asking the wrong person there
