As the title says .... AROC Cotswold Section Monthly email.

Enjoy!

PS .... Yes, I did ask for permission to post it, in it's entirety here and was told;

"Hi Tony,

Don't see why not, all this info is on our website or in the public domain somewhere anyway :-)

Cheers

Mark G" so here it is

Hi All

When is summer going to get here and stay here ?

August Meeting

Don’t forget our next monthly meeting 17th August will be at our new venue the Feathered Nest at Nether Westcote and we are hoping many of you will bring your wives or partners along for a look. If you do want to eat there whether the tapas menu in the bar or in the restaurant it is best to ring them and book. Phone 01993 833030 or email [email protected]

If you don’t fancy eating then they have a fine selection of beers, ales & wines to tempt you.

October 1st we are planning to go to Silverstone to watch Steve Dymoke compete in a round of the ARCA AlfaRacer, BRSCC Alfa Romeo Championship, more details to follow.

If you don’t fancy Silverstone then on the same day at Castle Combe is a classic race organised in part by John Dobson. From John… “After the success of the classic race at Mallory which seemed to have been enjoyed by spectators and drivers alike, there is to be another race this time at Castle Combe on October 1st. We are being sponsored by Gadgethelpline.com who are kindly providing hospitality and also prize money! It is open to pre 1975 Alfas up to 2 litres on treaded tyres to the spec of the HSCC roadsports series and to add a bit of extra fun we have invited similar spec MG's to give a bit of Italy v England competition. It is by invitation only so we can be a bit flexible on entries having accepted a certain Lancia. So come along as I am sure that it will be great fun for one and all with also a promise from Combe that if it a success it will become an annual event.â€
