Surprise For My Husband- How Do I Change 159 Liciense Plate Lights?

Hi Guys,

 

I want to change my husband liciense plates lights to LEDs, is this easy to do? is it as simple as popping open the compartment and twisting the bulb out? His birthday is sunday so please respond ASAP!

As far as I know, you'd have to get some of the LEDs with built-in resistors, otherwise the LED will work, but the bulb failure indicator in the instrument cluster will light up.
