rob3rto 7 Report post Posted September 20, 2015 I couldn't be bothered to wait for something to arrive on a slow boat from China. So I bought one of these (including the airbag) for £10 + £5 postage. Arrived in 3 days and took 10 mins to fit. No modifications went straight on and is still perfect 6 years on. If I can ever be bothered, I might fit this one. £10 + £10 postage this time but no airbag
Smaky 73 Report post Posted September 20, 2015 The facelift one may not fit because of the master spline.
rob3rto 7 Report post Posted October 1, 2015 The facelift one may not fit because of the master spline. The non button facelift fit okay though. Will probably sell the button one anyway. Too much work to wire up. Still haven't braved retro fitting my OEM headlights either
leongsoon 8 Report post Posted October 2, 2015 Nice work rewrapping the steering! Looks quite good! First time seeing the facelift steering without buttons! Which particular 147 or 156 variant is that from? I know another variant where there's silver plastic trim on the bottom spoke as well, and another with wooden rim. alfizta 6 Report post Posted October 2, 2015 thanks. did the same to my 146 and ended up a bit better.
leongsoon 8 Report post Posted October 3, 2015 Nice! Anyway, went to the workshop today and finally saw the steering without buttons fitted in a manual 147 with cloth seats! Normally the 147s we have are Selespeed with leather interior and steering with buttons!
