Aircon Compressor Is ..........

Recommended Posts

Fucked :(

Had to get dragged home by the RAC yesterday because of the amount of smoke coming from the pulley side of the unit ( and a terrible burning smell ).

Is the pulley and bearing replaceable on these ?

2001. 156 2.0 ts

Edit:

Or, can I bin the AC off altogether ?

Just do a search on EBay for "Alfa Romeo Air compressor", or "Alfa Romeo Air clutch" had a dozen pop up first go. Just make sure you set search to worldwide.

I have aircon pumps here, if you fancy a run over I'll nail one on for you.

That's very kind of you mate, but I don't think I'd make it.

The amount of smoke was great

I'm not, my cars got a knackered AC compressor

Well I'm in southampton, where abouts are you these days ?

Or maybe we could sort out a deal on one of your AC units that included postage ?
