twisted_pr 16 Report post Posted April 15, 2013 The parents of the friend who got me into Alfas when we kids had his 'n hers Alfas - a 75 V6 for him, a Sprint :Four Leaf Clover: for her (both red and with bodykits). In the 75 we hit a pheasant on the way back from Castle Combe race circuit and it got wedged in the grille. So we stopped to rip it (literally) it out, carried on driving home, then noticed a faint whiff of smoke coming through the vents. Then flames out of the bonnet - somehow an electrical fire had started as the result of the pheasant strike. As we were in the middle of nowhere with no fire extinguisher the 75 burnt to the ground. Sadly, the Sprint meant a similarly grizzly ending a few months later after it was wrapped a lampost.
