Saabretooth 8 Report post Posted August 14, 2013 You can't just leave the 'fell from 7 storey's & lived' part like that how did that happen? (If you don't mind me asking:)) Faith had a big part to do with it. Thing was, I was taking off on a para sailing episode. For some strange reason, the boat was still pulling across the shoreline and I was gaining height. At the last moment, the boat swung out towards sea and the sudden change in direction caused the chute to collapse upon itself, and I was like being swung towards tall, tall coconut trees. I was falling like a sack of potatoes and all I had in my breath was to call out, Oh God! and I hit the sand hard, 2 strides and face flat on the ground. just 6 inches from the top of my head was a huge dead coral.... imagine how coconuts feel when crushed..... I wasn't going to find out on that one. probably the lateral direction of the fall and sand helped to cushion the fall, but I am pretty certain The Big Guy Up There had something to do with me living today enjoying the thrills of an Alfa. How's that for an introduction?

alfizta 6 Report post Posted October 9, 2013 Hi! I'm from and in Portugal, Aveiro city. Have some family and friends living in London... I'm a Physics and Chemistry teacher. I also love photography, listen to music, cooking, eating, drinking, and fix things... Got to know this forum just minutes ago on an alfaowner.com post :D I'm driving a 146 1.6 TS and a 156 1.8 TS. The 156 was supposed to replace the 146, but since the 146 is mechanically 100%, I decided to keep both and run as many miles as I can on her. Bought my first Alfa Romeo (146) after my 1988 Opel Kadett got hit from behind. My dad always told me "don't ever buy FIAT, LANCIA or ALFA!!!", and, believe or not, we stop talking to each other for some time because of that... Well, I was looking for a cheap car, and the 146 was much cheaper than an Astra, very practical, stylish and powerfull! I guess I just lost a bit of my mind and fell in love with alfas for at least 7 years now... My dream car is a 156 GTA, but since I got a 156 1.8 TS I'm really pleased and forgot about it. Also would not mind owning a 4C I'm hoping to get some help here and help other alfisti too
K9d 108 Report post Posted October 9, 2013 Welcome aboard I've had 2 146s a 1.8 and a 2.0, preferred the 1.8 a much more revvy engine.
