its a coolant hose link thingy, made from absurdly brittle plastic, on the top rad hose.

Probably £3-4 ish I reckon from euros or Gsf.

My misses had a knackered flange a while ago, dripping uncontrollably :tut:

Anyway, I digress, should be cheap enough :D

Her flange was about £4 I think

Only available as part of a selection of hoses I dont want, for an obscene price.

That would be cool, its from a 1.6 A3 but as far as I can tell its the same piece on the 1.8t's, tdi's and allsorts of others.

All the plastic stuff seems to rot at the same time :|

On her 3series, I had to replace the flange at the back of the engine, thermostat housing, and rad.

All plastic, and all as brittle as a brittle thing :(

Obviously the rad isn't all plastic, but it was the plastic ends that gave up

Thats quite common. I managed to blow up an expansion tank on my 528... admittedly I sat with the AC on full and engine running all day at a show on the hottest day of the year... but still...
