milowokie 13 Report post Posted July 14, 2011 Like my emergency back-up car. The splendid SAAB 9000 Carlsson. Owned it for just over 12 months, 2.0 Turbo with extra special Aero seats. No traction control, stability computer, airbags or cat. Good old fashioned 90s motoring, from the pre-Gatso and ANPR age, and sub 40p/litre fuel. Rewe 8 Report post Posted July 15, 2011 I love SAABs and have had several. My last one was a black 3 door 900 turbo (GM but I've also had exactly the same but pre GM ) I'm sure the 9000 is the last of the really well made SAABs.
jhc 28 Report post Posted July 16, 2011 dad used to have a saab 900 bullet proof cars! I had a £50 900 turbo. I was new to turbo cars so a mate pulled off a vacuum hose or something and it ran at about a million psi. What a day that was! RIP 'Tubby' the 900, you were good to me. milowokie 13 Report post Posted August 7, 2011 Yep, they had three-spokes before, during and after they were trendy. Now you can have 19" Hirsch ones for a great deal of money...
jhc 28 Report post Posted August 9, 2011 e30's suit tsw 3 spokes... well, they did in the 90's. I got well and truly slated for saying I wanted some recently.

milowokie 13 Report post Posted August 16, 2011 Milo, tell me to bugger off you like, but can I please ask what you paid for the SAAB? Bugger off. But the SAAB was £2450, not sure you can get a comfy 250hp ALFA for that.
