SAABs with Big Turbos.

Recommended Posts

Like my emergency back-up car.

The splendid SAAB 9000 Carlsson.post-66-134189382282_thumb.jpg

Owned it for just over 12 months, 2.0 Turbo with extra special Aero seats.

No traction control, stability computer, airbags or cat.

Good old fashioned 90s motoring, from the pre-Gatso and ANPR age, and sub 40p/litre fuel.

I was first attracted to this thread by the title... I wasn't to be disappointed upon clicking it, either.

Nice motor, Milo.

I love SAABs and have had several. My last one was a black 3 door 900 turbo (GM but I've also had exactly the same but pre GM  )

I'm sure the 9000 is the last of the really well made SAABs.

dad used to have a saab 900 bullet proof cars!

I had a £50 900 turbo.

I was new to turbo cars so a mate pulled off a vacuum hose or something and it ran at about a million psi.

What a day that was!

RIP 'Tubby' the 900, you were good to me.

Yep, they had three-spokes before, during and after they were trendy.

Now you can have 19" Hirsch ones for a great deal of money...

Bugger off.

But the SAAB was £2450, not sure you can get a comfy 250hp ALFA for that.

Filled up the gas tank this evening at my local Morrisons, ran it dry yesterday, and it smoothly switched to petrol without any interference from me.

Full tank of gas.....£28.
