crank sensor maybe Does it start after you leave it for 30mins to cool down? Is the "check engine" light lit?

Sorry but no one here is going to tell you how to cover up a problem to sell your car. If you want to fix the squeak for example, replacing the upper wishbone bushes will cure it.

When my battery failed, the dash lights did a disco lightshow. Didn't yours do this?

Time for a new starter motor?

Or have the replacement ballasts professionally potted. Problem permanently solved.

The non button facelift fit okay though. Will probably sell the button one anyway. Too much work to wire up. Still haven't braved retro fitting my OEM headlights either

I couldn't be bothered to wait for something to arrive on a slow boat from China. So I bought one of these (including the airbag) for £10 + £5 postage. Arrived in 3 days and took 10 mins to fit. No modifications went straight on and is still perfect 6 years on. If I can ever be bothered, I might fit this one. £10 + £10 postage this time but no airbag

Disconnect earth strap. Clean with a stiff brush. Apply liberal coating of dielectric grease.

I would call your nearest Alfa/Fiat parts centre and ask for part number 0071713715 (as per image provided by Smaky). No great saving by buying online as its a cheap part to begin with.

No idea but mine is still the original on a 2000 156TS. Still looks like new.
