I had a noise on corners and smaky was bang on. shim was too thin but I had two gearboxes and luckily the other box had the right shim size for my current box. There must be loads of owners out there with similar issues

Sounds good. Never had a second glance at mercs but must be a nice drive.

Most likely a twin spark because i find them easier to work on. But it will mean a year off the road for the GTA so i can take my time with the upgrades.

An air con service done quickly is a bad thing and should be questioned. Kwik fit are hit and miss and i wouldn't want them anywhere near my AC system.
