  1. Update; If you buy 5Ltrs of Shell or Mobil oil you will get an extra 1ltr free by using code FREEOIL
  2. I picked up a link from AO for a product on ebay that works realy well for stopping windows sticking; http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/160900851437?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649&clk_rvr_id=424410677235
  3. I am aware of three codes that are current. Battery15 Parts25 Clutch25 not sure of the expiry dates
  4. As the last code went down with a number of users, here is the new one. It only covers batteries and gives you a 15% saving - use code BATTERY15 (not sure when it expires) also if you return your old battery within 7 days of collecting your new one they will give you a further £5. As this is the season for batteries to die I hope that this will save someone some money - too late for me as I replace mine three weeks ago....just my luck....
  5. I just got an email from Eurocar Parts giving a discount code which gives 30% off until end of the month - not long I know but may be useful for someone. Use MIDMONTH31 - seems to cover a number of areas.
  6. yes a bit notchy from time to time - Alfa workshop have them in stock so a trip to Royston is called for. Any tips on replacement ?
  7. I think hydraulic - which is why I think the master cylinder is on the way out.
  8. All (esp Smaky) I think my clutch master cylinder is giving problems - the peddle sometimes stays down (I have to flick it back up with my toes) there is sometimes no pressure behind the peddle. Does this sound right of is something on the way out. The car is a GT blackline 1.9 JTD. Chris
  9. If power kicks in above 2.5k revs then I would put good money on the ERG stuck open - they may have cleaned it but did they check that the solinoid is actually working.
  10. I use both - but if starting from scratch I would use a purchased copy of FiatECUScan, the freeby version would probably cover most of your needs but the guy that put it together has made a great effort to make it work well and deserves to be paid for his efforts.
  11. that is okay - they can sit in the shed until someone comes along
  12. I lifted this from AO For many years, since the demise of Methanol based antifreeze that was traditionally only added just before winter, blue/green or yellow Monoethylene Glycol (MEG) has been the mainstay of the coolant market. However a lot of vehicles since 08/98 have been filled with coolant combining Monoethylene glycol with Organic Additive Technology (OAT) corrosion inhibitors. There are important differences between standard MEG and MEG with OAT. It does not contain silicates, nitrates, nitrites, borates, phosphates or amines so that: · Without silicates, silicate gel or "green goo" does not form. · By eliminating phosphates, hard water scale is reduced. · Without silicates, phosphates, nitrates, nitrites and borates, abrasive dissolved acids are greatly reduced thereby diminishing water pump seal failures. · Without amines and nitrites, there is no potential formation of nitrosamines. All of this results in a considerably longer life span, whilst providing improved protection of all cooling system metals, including aluminium. Benefits over conventional silicate based coolants are: · Improved water pump life due to reduced water pump seal wear. · Fewer abrasive dissolved solids. · Reduced hard water scale. · Virtually no deterioration of heat transfer capacity during service life. · Excellent protection against high temperature and pitting corrosion. · No silicate gel formation during storage or use. · Effective long-term corrosion protection for aluminium, brass, cast iron, steel, solder and copper alloys. · Long effective service life of up to 10 years or 150,000 miles. The two types of coolant should not be mixed. Vehicles filled with MEG will have coolant coloured blue, green or yellow. MEG with OAT additives will have coolant coloured Orange or red. you can get a reaction between the two types, and can turn to gel. The tread goes on to say that the MEG only types have a shorter life than MEG plus OAT. hope this helps
  13. There is a set on ebay for £50 plus postage which seems a fair price
  14. I am replacing my 156 SW with a GT Blackline in a few weeks, I have a set of detatchable roof bars (the ones that go accross the vehicle) which I am looking to sell on to anyone who needs them. They come complete with keys etc and should fit either a saloon or SW. I would rather have them picked up from Biggleswade or Canary Wharf. Chris
  15. I have a facelift so I will have to have a play
