  1. Thanks but it was too low for me so I changed the springs for Eibach pro kit so it now sits at 25mm lower than standard.
  2. This Picture probably shows the Stance of the car better
  3. Ooops forgot to mention the wheels . As seen in the picture a set of 16" Selespeed alloys. In pretty good condition with only a few marks here and there but nothing serious. On has some slight bubbling but again not bad Two have Michelin Primacy tyres the other two are budget. All tyres have between 3mm and 5mm. No longer fit my car as it has a Brembo conversion. (not yet fitted in picture) I can email more detailed pics if you want. Again just looking for an offer to shift them.
  4. I have a few bits left over from my 2001 156 Sportwagon rebuild. Full set of Eibach Sportline Springs. They have a few marks where they have been fitted but are otherwise new and have never been on the road. They will drop your car by about 45mm which was too low for me so they came off again the next weekend. Just taking up space in the garage and trying to raise the pennies for a respray so make me a half sensible offer. Collect from East Northants NN10 postcode or I can take them to SAD if you're going. And this is what your car will look like with them fitted.
  5. Always been a Wagon fan myself. GT looks the dogs but I have a bit of an issue with 2 door 4 seat cars.
  6. an old 2 button key fob. I don't care about the condition as all I want is the small metal tab at the bottom to attach a key ring to. I got a couple of after market replacements but they are utter pants.
  7. Not to mention the slight growl at just under 3000rpm. It's as if she's daring you saying "go on, you know you want to"
  8. Since I got my 156 2.0TS Selespeed Sportwagon, and I still haven't found anything else I'd rather have. The thing is when I got her it was a bit of a compromise. I had decided to ditch the company car (VW Passat tdi) opt out and supply my own vehicle. I spent a lot of time comparing just about every mid size Diesel saloon car based on buying a 2 year old car, keeping it for a further 3 years and taking in to account purchase price, servicing, running costs based on 45k per year and resale value. I can't remember all the details but the best option was the Mercedes C Class followed by the Ford Mondeo and a load of others with the Alfa 156 second from bottom, only the Mazda 6 was lower, because of it's horrible (even by Alfa standards) resale value. After many different test drives it was obvious that my cost comparison was pointless because the car I wanted was the 156 2.4JTD and it didn't matter what my bit of paper said about what was the best option. The problem was that back then the only Major manufacturers that didn't have an auto Diesel were Mazda and Alfa and I needed an Auto because of my gammie left knee. I looked at other versions and decided that I should have the JTD, Wanted the 2.5V6 Q system but because of the fuel consumption and mileage decided the 2.0TS was a compromise and it did have an Auto (sort of ) gearbox. Then had to find one. Had to be Black with Grey leather interior and a Sportwagon because they look better. The only one I could get at the time was just over 3 years old had more miles on it than I wanted and was Blue (Cosmo blu so nearly black) but it had the correct interior so I parted with my hard earned cash and the rest is history. We have had our ups and downs and she's a bit like triggers broom but all in all I've never looked back. Not bad for a compromise.
  9. Depends what you are looking for. Fitted Eibach pro-kit springs and Bilstien B6 shocks on the Sele. A tiny bit on the harsh side but the corners make up for it :Big Grin: :Big Grin: :Big Grin: :Big Grin: :Big Grin: :Big Grin: :Big Grin: :Big Grin: :Big Grin: :Big Grin: :Big Grin: :Big Grin: :Big Grin: :Big Grin:
  10. TRW are OK, I've used them with no problems. Lemforder are supposed to be very good but they are not cheap.
  11. It's the Beetle (Air cooled old type not the re-bodied Polo/Golf) at around 20 million but even that is nothing compared to the Honda Cub (C50 in the uk) at something like 80 million.
  12. Rubber bands I should think. That ride is gonna be harsh
  13. I agree, Wagons rule. How cool would It be to have an AD international meet? Some place sort of central........Like the Stelvio Pass in Italy :Big Grin: :Big Grin: :Big Grin:
  14. Just insured the Sele with a lovely lady called Cathy (or could be Kathy). Beat all others by a few quid but with a lower excess. Nice friendly service and you get to speak to the same person.
  15. To be fair I did a massive amount of work on her over a long period of time so It's a bit misleadind. When I get a spare half hour i'll post some photos
  16. Another 12 months and no advisory. Not bad for 13 years and the thick end of 200k miles.
  17. Thanks Smiffy, I think I might be sorted but if not I may take you up on that.
  18. An Alfa dealer that will mail order parts? I need a couple of small bits that are main dealer only and my local stealers won't post them. I can't drive at the minute and it's a hour round trip anyway, plus the extra half hour they keep you hanging around, and you always need two trips because they always get the wrong part first time. Any suggestions (sensible)
  19. Welcome Roberto, Don't worry we have a Selespeed expert on this site. I am sure he will be able to help but he is not on here every day so you may have to wait a day or two.
  20. Bugger that didn't work correctly. For some reason whenever i try to post an image everything just freezes. Any ideas?
  21. Does anyone know, or better still have one they want to sell, part numbers for the following two items. Can't find them on eper, local scrappies can't be bothered because they are too small and the local dealers.....well lets not get started on them. First off i need an ABS unit mounting bolt/stud complete with rubber bush. http://i1178.photobu...zpsbfe9c007.jpg Second I need a nearside front flexi brake pipe support bracket http://i1178.photobu...zps1de31856.jpg Picture is of offside unit but i need nearside. Thanks
  22. Have you got a photo showing the damage?
  23. The head bolts on the TS engine are not stretch bolts so there is no reason to replace them, but I would remove and re-fit with washers. Best practice would be to remove them in the correct order, i.e. the reverse order to tightening.
