Clem Fandango 71 Report post Posted March 1, 2014 (edited) My handbrake is now totally none existant. I know its something to do with something not returning properly buts thats about it. Smaky 73 Report post Posted March 2, 2014 The main thing when replacing rear pads on a GTV is the piston rotation, there is a cross on the piston and when you've rewound it and slid in over the new pads the spigot on the back of the inboard pad locates into the pistons slot, otherwise the piston pumps out squiffy and jams, I suspect this is the case on yours as it's pretty much the only thing that stops GTV handbrakes from operating.
