Step 6.

Using the 3 legged puller, pull of the hub, this will leave the inner race of the inner bearing on the hub, now cut a slot diagonally across the inner race ensuring you don't go through to the hub itself, then once the slot is as deep as you dare use a chisel to crack and split the ramaining material, when it cracks the race will spin and you can then just pull it off by hand.

DO NOT CLIP THE ABS SENSOR WHICH CAN BE SEEN HERE.

Step 7.

Gently clean off any corrosion from the hub using scothbrite.

Step 8.

Ensuring the bearing retainer is still in the new bearing slide it over the hub, using the 36mm socket and a BFH gently persuade the bearing that it wants to go on, but not all the way, just far enough that the retaining ring can be removed.

Step 10.

Step 11.

Press the brake pedal a few times to ensure it goes hard, tighten up the cable adjuster nut under the handle so that when the handbrake is released the arm on the caliper looks like this below and when you lift the handle there is no dead spot.

I need to change one on my 156, would it be possible to remove the centre part of the bearing with bearing pullers after heating it with a hot air paint stripper gun ?

Or would it be easier to bring the car to you ?

Smaky, What did you use to cut the inner race with? An Angle grinder?

Also, do you know the size of the calliper mounting bolts? I can go look if you don't..

Just working out what tools ill need.. may have to go buy a couple of open ended spanners.. not sure yet.
